01 Getting started

New here? Start with these three.

DiningSpotter is a compare-first restaurant guide for the moment you are weighing two or three options, not wandering an endless feed. Each listing aims to carry when-to-go notes, what-to-order picks, and side-by-side filters so you can make the call before you commit to a table.

We're early stage. 14 metros live · 16 listings verified. We're adding listings one metro at a time. Paid placement is off the table.

Yes. Browsing listings and metros is free. Restaurants can claim a listing by email at no cost. There are no paid Pro or Multi plans right now.

No. Everything public on DiningSpotter is readable without an account. Tip a listing or claim a restaurant by emailing [email protected].

02 Coverage

Where we are — and where we're headed.

14 metros live · 16 listings verified. We're adding listings one metro at a time.

Live metros right now: Foley, Florence, Lacy Lakeview, Billings, Alhambra, Augusta, Boulder, De Soto, Columbia, Yankton, Scottsboro, Decatur, Dothan, Boligee.

See the current roster on our Cities page. We update it when listings go live, not on a fixed schedule.

Every listing is reviewed before it goes live. A metro opens when there are enough verified spots to be useful, not when a spreadsheet says it is time. Request yours from the Cities page or email [email protected] with your metro name.

DiningSpotter is built around comparing a few options — timing notes, what-to-order picks, hours, and menu highlights on each listing page. Open two listing tabs (or use our How it works walkthrough) and stack what matters for tonight. A dedicated multi-select compare screen is still on the roadmap.

03 For diners

Listings, tips, and Google notes.

Each live listing aims for the basics that help you decide: address and phone, hours when we have them, menu highlights with prices when available, and Google review samples. Coverage depth varies — early metros can be thin.

Use Tip a listing — it opens an email draft to [email protected] with the details you fill in. Tips are reviewed before anything publishes.

Not yet as a signed-in product feature. Listing pages show Google review samples today. If you want a correction or a tip published, email [email protected].

04 For restaurants

Claims, replies, free Listing Base.

Open your page and use Claim this listing (it goes to our owner page), or email [email protected]. We review claims as they come in. Details at For Restaurants.

Not on taste alone. Flag factual errors, abuse, or promo spam by email — we review as we can. Honest criticism in Google samples stays; a public owner-reply tool is not live yet.

Not right now. Listing Base is free. Compare placement and search order are never for sale — that line stays even if paid tools arrive later.

05 Account & privacy

Data you control.

There is no public self-serve account dashboard yet. Email [email protected] and we will help with access or deletion requests within a reasonable time. See our Privacy Policy.

No ads, no data brokers, no behavioral profiles sold to third parties.

06 Verification

Queue, flags, house rules.

Tips and claim requests are reviewed before they change the public map. We also look at flags for abuse, promo spam, or clear factual errors on listings. Email [email protected] if something looks wrong.

A solo operator — not an outsourced call center. Tips are reviewed as they come in. We usually reply within a few business days.
